Samuel "Sam" Pete Smith

            Samuel “Sam” Pete Smith, age 44, of Hickory, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023 at his home. He was born December 9, 1978 in Catawba County, the son of Larry Gene Smith and Teressa Lynn Melton.

            He worked for Wal-mart Distribution Center and also had worked in the furniture industry. He liked gun collecting, fishing, and hunting.

            Including his parents, those left to cherish and honor his memories include: fiancé, Dee-Dee Culbreth (she loved him very much); fur baby daughter, Dixie Rose Smith and fur baby son, Jack Smith.
