Sandra "Sandi" Gail (Harvel) Faw

Mrs. Sandra “Sandi” Gail Harvel Faw, 71, of North Wilkesboro passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at SECU Hospice Home in Yadkinville.   

Sandi was born on November 19, 1951 in Iredell County to James Wren Harvel and Alice Mildred Gregory Harvel. 

She enjoyed crochet, knitting, making jewelry and wood crafts for the Apple Festival.  Sandi was known for her smile and hugs.  She was a very giving and loving person who also enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. 

Sandi is preceded in death by her parents, James and Alice Harvel.

Sandi is survived by her husband of 52 years, Donald D. Faw of the home; daughter, Alicia Faw Clary and husband, Rev. Justin Clary of Wilkesboro; grandchildren, Katie Clary, Jeremiah Clary, Gracie Clary, Joshua Clary, Bella Clary, Adelaide Clary all of Wilkesboro and sister, Lovina Shew and husband, Dallis of Sparta. 

A visitation will be held, Sunday, September 17,2023 at 2:00-2:45p.m. at Oakwoods Baptist Church, 2385 Brushy Mountain Road, Wilkesboro, NC 28697. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 3p.m. at Oakwoods Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Scenic Memorial Gardens. 

Rev. Robert Duncan, Rev. Justin Clary, Rev. Christopher Clark will be officiating.
