Mrs. Shelby Jean Harris Johnson, 83, of North Wilkesboro, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
Shelby was born on July 19, 1941 in Wilkes County to Willie Clifton Harris and Annie Mae Billings Harris.
She loved spending time with her family and spending time on the Blue Ridge Parkway at the cabin. Shelby was a member of East Side Baptist Church.
Shelby is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Archie “Kenny” Kenneth Johnson; son, Kenny Dwayne Johnson; brothers, James Harris, Fred Harris, Clyde Harris; granddaughter, Kirsten Johnson; great granddaughter, Aubrey Carter.
Shelby is survived by her children, Teresa Ashlin and husband, Rick of Oceanside California, Tammy Wyatt of Roaring River, Charles “Mousey” Johnson and wife, Kimberly of Las Vegas, Kenny “Leroy” Johnson II., of the home; Kendra Johnson of North Wilkesboro, sister, Carlene Harris Buchanan of Arizona; brother, Lonnie Harris of Boomer, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
A visitation will be 12:00-12:45 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Adams Funeral Home of Wilkes Chapel in Moravian Falls.
The funeral service will take place, Monday, October 7, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home of Wilkes Chapel in Moravian Falls. Burial will follow at Mountlawn Memorial Park.
Rev. Robert Wiles will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Adams Funeral Home of Wilkes, P.O. Box 396 Moravian Falls, NC 28654., to help with final expenses.
