Sherry Ann Scott

            Sherry Ann Scott, age 55, of Taylorsville passed away, Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Carolina Caring of Newton.

            She was born on October 30, 1969 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Sherry Davis Hutchinson of Taylorsville, and the late Robert John O’Brien Sr.

            During her working career she worked as a CNA. She was of the Christian faith. Sherry loved spending time with her son Dawson. She also enjoyed singing on tape, her work, and taking care of her patients.

            Including her father, she was preceded in death by: her son, Austin Lee Scott, a step-brother, John Clyde Hutchinson Jr.

            Including her mother those left to honor and cherish her memories include: her sons, Aaron Michael Scott of Hickory, Dawson Dollinger of Alexander County; step-father, John Clyde Hutchinson; step-sister, Robin Lorrine Forrester; brothers, Robert John O’Brien Jr. of TN, Adam Todd Hutchinson (Lindsay) of TN; nephews, Adam Todd Hutchinson Jr., Jonathan Clyde Hutchinson, Robert O’Brien; great-niece, Elena Hutchinson; many other aunts, uncles, and friends also survive.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025, in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Church of God cemetery. Dr. James Smith will officiate.
