Shirley Louise Millsaps

            Shirley Louise Millsaps, age 81, of Taylorsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Gordon Hospice House.

            She was born June 25, 1941 in Alexander County, the daughter of the late William Glenn Earp and Amie McLelland Earp.

            She retired from Broyhill Furniture and was a member of White Plains Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, secretary, and Vacation Bible School Director. She enjoyed shopping, planting her Gerber daisies and riding her golf cart.

            Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Jennis Conrad Millsaps; her sister, Mae Warren and her brother, William Henry Earp.

            Those left to cherish and honor her memories include: her daughters, Anita Davis (Bruce) of Taylorsville, Gina Fox (Tracy) of Hatteras; her grandchildren, Garrison Davis (Lauren), Sarah Jones (JP), Katelyn Ellis (Nathan); her great-grandchildren, Dixon Davis, Maxton Davis, Lukas Iseman, Ada Jones, Behr Jones.

            The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2022 at White Plains Baptist Church. Pastor Tony Daniels will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
