Shirley Jean Moore

            Shirley Jean Moore, age 70, of Hiddenite, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her home.

          Shirley was born September 14, 1950 in Iredell County, the daughter of the late William Smith Weeks Moore, Sr. and Ruth Elizabeth Thompson Moore.

          She had worked in the furniture industry and had attended Bethel Baptist Church. She enjoyed animals especially horses and cats. She loved gardening and fixing things.

          Those left to cherish and honor her memory include: daughters, Tonya Hoots Wheeler of Stony Point, Jeanne Lynn Hutchins of Winston-Salem; son, Herbert Lee Hoots, Jr. (Pamela Hoots) of Hiddenite; three grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Ann Moore Church, Mona Lisa Moore both of Statesville, Rita Carol Moore of Cleveland, Roberta Faye Moore of California; brother, Ricky Dale Moore of Woodleaf.
