Sue Elizabeth (Brown) Caldwell

Mrs. Sue Elizabeth Brown Caldwell, 93, of Boomer, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Westwood Hills Nursing Home.

Sue was born on December 29, 1927 in Alleghany County to Fred Brown and Donna Hash Brown.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Philip Norwood Caldwell; son, Philip “Ernest” Caldwell; sister, Donna Chapman, Dorothy “Dot” Mabe and brothers, Jim Brown , Joe Brown and Ralph Brown.

Sue is survived by her daughter- in- law, Mavis Caldwell of Lenoir; sisters, Evelyn Earp and husband, Charles, Linda Horning and husband, Joe, all of Sparta; grandchildren, Michelle Caldwell of Winston-Salem, Hope Miller and husband, David of Hudson, Chad Caldwell and wife, Amy of Clemmons, Heather Crump and husband, Kelly of Boone, 7 great-grandchildren.  

 A graveside service will be held Monday, November 29, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Boomer. Pastor Tim DeBrod will be officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Zion Hill Baptist Church, 2552 Boomer Road, Boomer, NC 28606.
