Suma Kerley Teague, age 85, of Stony Point, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Gordon Hospice House.
Suma was born February 2, 1939, in Alexander County, the daughter of the late Lonas Kerley and Rosa Bentley Kerley.
She worked at Carolina Glove Mill for many years and was a member of Stony Point Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling especially to Gatlinburg, TN, shopping, grilling steaks with good friends, Ray and Margaret Johnson. She was a very kind and caring person that loved people.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Linda Moose and Florence Daniels.
Those left to cherish and honor her memories include: her husband, Wayne Teague of the home; her nephew, Todd Moose; her brother-in-law, Harvey Moose; and many special friends.
The funeral service will be held at Noon, Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. Pastor Stephen Dagenhart and Pastor Matt Cranford will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until Noon prior to the service.
