Ted Albert Poovey, 82, of Beulah Road, Hickory, Bethlehem Community, died on Saturday, June 18, 2011.
He was born on May 17, 1929 in Caldwell County to the late Albert Poovey and Gertrude Graham Poovey. He was a member of Grace Chapel United Methodist Church and was a retired dairy and tobacco farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah Moretz Poovey of the home; a daughter, Darlene Rominger of Hickory (Bethlehem Community; two sisters, Betty Kiziah of Granite Falls and Donna Poovey of Knoxville, Tennessee and a grandson, Elton Rominger.
Services will be held at a later date.
