Thomas Lee Collins, Sr.

          Thomas Lee Collins, Sr., age 71, of Statesville, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at his home.

            Thomas was born October 12, 1952 in Rock Hill, SC, the son of the late Rober Lee Collins and Maggie Harvell Collins.

            He retired from Spring Mills in Fort Mill, SC, after 30 years of service. He served in the National Guard from 1971 until 1982 and was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, and mountains. He loved spending time with his family and loved his fury friend, “Sugarbear”.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by: sisters, Betty Walker, Faye Collins, Amy Roseberry.

Those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his daughter, Sandra Collins Williams (Torlon) of Hiddenite; his sons, Thomas Lee Collins Jr. (Penny) of SC, Joseph Michael Wayne Collins of Asheville, NC; his step-son, Cody Walden (Patience) of TN; his significant other of 21 years, Tammy Earlen Crowley; his grandchildren, Alicia Williams, Treyanna Williams Oliver (Matthew), David Williams, Kristin Young (Joe), Joseph Collins, Jr., Joshua Collins; his step-grandchildren, Trinity, Millie, Amara, Faith, Amenidel, JC, Christopher, Daniel; his great-grandchild, Grayson Oliver; his sister, Peggy Walker of Granite Falls; mother of his children, Jo Ann Collins.

A private Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, in Hiddenite at 964 Sharpe Lane.
