Thomas “Sidney” Isenhour, age 72, of Taylorsville, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Valley Nursing Center.
Sidney was born September 15, 1952, in Catawba County, the son of the late Hayden Icenhour and Marceline Smith Icenhour.
Sidney proudly served in the United States Army, during the Vietnam Era in Germany for three years. He was of the Methodist faith, but attended CrossPoint Church in later years. He was in the trucking industry for most of his working career. Sidney enjoyed gardening, yard work, building things in his workshop with his grandson, Tucker.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Adam Rodney Icenhour.
Those left to cherish and honor Sidney’s memories include: his wife of 45 years, Lynne Stringer Isenhour of the home; his daughter, Amanda Isenhour Queen (William); his son, Thomas “Andy” Isenhour (Abby Wright); his grandson, Hayden Tucker Queen; his step-granddaughters, Emma Ruth Queen, Adyson Mae Queen; his brother, Cuffey Lee Icenhour; his nephew, Jarret Lee Icenhour; his aunt, Patsy Bentley; special cousins, Martha and Howard Norton; his Cocker Spaniel, Toby and a number of family and friends.
The family will receive friends from Noon until 2 p.m., Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Adams Funeral Home. Inurnment will be with the family.
