Vaughn Paul "VP" Mitchell II

            Vaughn Paul “VP” Mitchell II, age 58, of Claremont, arrived at the gates of heaven on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Catawba Memorial Hospital. He was the widower of Annette Mitchell; they shared 30 amazing years before she passed.

            Vaughn was born March 2, 1967 in Iredell County, the son of the late Linda Levell Martin and Paul Mitchell. He owned a successful business for close to 30 years in Catawba County.

            He was a very Godly man who enjoyed watching NASCAR and anything that involved being outside. He will always be remembered as an avid NASCAR fan who loved ice cold Coca-Cola while riding his John Deere tractor while jamming to Rock-n-Roll.

            Including his father, those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his son, Vaughn Paul Mitchell III; his daughter, Somer Parker and son-in-law, Dustin Parker; his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Roland; his grandchildren, Emma Mitchell, Jayden Parker, Elliott Roland; his sister, Gina Stevens and husband, Gerald; his favorite black panther, Elvis (Dennis the Menace).

            While we would love to hold a memorial service in Vaughn Paul’s home, they specifically requested no service to take place. If you’d like to honor his legacy, please make a donation to COPD Foundation in Vaughn Paul Mitchell name.
