Virginia Ann McClain

Virginia Ann McClain was born in Taylorsville, NC on June 4, 1955 to the late Kenneth Knox McClain and Jeanette McCombs McClain. She peacefully departed this life on the evening of Tuesday, January 26, 2021.
She was a member of the cheerleading squad while attending Alexander Central High School where she graduated in 1974.
She was a licensed cosmetologist for many years and was employed as a CNA I and a CNA II.
Virginia joined Mt. Carmel Baptist Church at an early age and enjoyed working in the church and singing in the chorus. She possessed a fiery and outspoken spirit and often spoke of God’s goodness.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Jeanette McClain, parental guardians Morris and Helen Newland, one brother Kenneth Morgan McClain, one sister Gina McClain Patterson, two honorary sisters: Mamie Wilson and Althea Dobbins.
She is survived by her three children: Christopher Joel Williams (Angela) of Henderson, TX, Shaa Rabi Williams of Statesville, NC and Kennya Ejmone Williams of the home; Two brothers: Ronnie McClain (Mabelline) of Taylorsville, NC, and Bart Fitzgerald McClain; Seven grandchildren: Kaiya Malone Young, of Houston, TX, Nalanie Williams of Killeen, TX, Kailah Williams of Lakewood, WA, Vanity Hoseok of Troutman, NC, Kailea Lail of Taylorsville, NC, Alijah Williams of Troutman, NC, Jacob Cleo Hunter of the home; Two honorary grandchildren: Irecas Norelle McWhorter of Wilkesboro, NC and Claybourne Anthony McWhorter of Wilkesboro, NC; nephew: Anthony Frank Wilson of Boone, NC; Three nieces: Roland Parsons of Taylorsville, NC, Theresa Nicole McClain of Taylorsville, NC and LaTosha McClain Garvin (David) of Charlotte, NC; Three honorary children: Sheree Danielle McWhorter of Wilkesboro, NC, Missty McWhorter Chattmon (Craig) of Southbend, IN, Mark Anthony McWhorter, Jr. (Nikki) of High Point, NC; and a host of other special cousins and friends.
