William “Bill” Bradburn, Sr., age 72, of Stony Point, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at his home.
Bill was born May 9, 1952 in Iredell County, the son of the late Wendell Byron Bradburn and Doris Hoover Bradburn.
He was a sewing machine mechanic and was of the Christian faith. He was a Ford man. He enjoyed tinkering with old cars and going to cruise-ins. Bill loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his wife, Marie “Tooter” Bradburn of the home; his sons, Billy Bradburn (Marsha) of Hiddenite, Henry Bruce of Taylorsville; his daughters, Tammy Greene (Jeff), Donna Abernathy (Scotty) all of Stony Point; his grandchildren, Brooklynn, Brianna (Tony), Benjamin, Byron, Savannah, Noah (Haley), James Brian (Brittany), Jacob; his great-grandchildren, Colleen, Nathaniel, Owen, Saylor, Krew, Ivy, and Hallie.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Wes Hammer will officiate.
Pallbearers include: James Brian Abernathy, Jacob Abernathy, Noah Greene, Benjamin Bradburn, Byron Bradburn, and Rovard Bantugan.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
