I remember many a day walking into Walmart and joking with Ray about the Lakers and having a good laugh. I used to tell him that he was the whole reason for me even coming to Walmart at all! :P I'll miss his kind nature and warm smile and forever think fondly of how he was always the same no matter when you saw him.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Please accept my deepest sympathy. May you find comfort from your memories, as well as from God’s word the Bible? Why do people we love die? Romans 5:12 says: "That is why, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." How loving of our God to promise what is found at Revelation 21:4 which says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. My deepest sympathy to the entire Howell family in the loss of Mr. Howell. I didn't know him, but I knew his children, having taught two or three of them, and several of his grandchildren. He had to have been a fine man to father so many fine offspring. To all the Howell family, my heart-felt sympathy.

To the family:
Years ago, I worked at Wal-Mart. Ray was one of my favorite greeters and I spent many minutes chatting with him.
I no longer remember what we talked about, but I know he was a "ray" of sunshine on plenty of days at that place, and I remember him fondly.
Mine is a life he blessed, whether he knew it or not. I will pray for peace and comfort for his family. -Rebecca
